Welcome to the Pennsylvania Wilds Artisan Initiative

In the Pennsylvania Wilds we value authenticity – the company of unpretentious people, the enduing quality of nature, and the timeless appeal of handmade goods. Our towns and villages attract artists and artisans who appreciate our values and contribute to our regional identity by creating beautiful and functional items you won't find anywhere else.

This site is designed to help you find these products. Whether you are a tourist on the hunt for a gallery, a developer angling to incorporate antler door handles and carved benches into your next project or a retailer looking for unique jewelry and scarves for your shop – this site can help.

In our ‘Gallery’ section, you’ll find information on all the retail stops along the Pennsylvania Wilds Artisan Trail – a unique collection of craft barns, boutiques, galleries and studios – where you can purchase handmade goods.

Our ‘Artisan’ tab will allow you to search, by name or medium, the more than 100 local artisans juried into the Pennsylvania Wilds program, see samples of their work, and find information on how to contact them.

For anyone looking to commission a piece of artwork or submit a proposal for the region’s juried artisans to bid on – we’ve got tips on how to do that too, in our ‘Custom Art Work’ section.

Thanks for visiting and we hope you find what you’re looking for!
